Equal Employment Opportunity
Durham County Government believes that a diverse workforce adds quality and perspective to the services that we provide to the public. Therefore, it is the policy of Durham County Government to adhere strictly to the Merit principle in all its personnel transactions and to foster, maintain and promote equal employment opportunity. Durham County provides all services without regard to race, sex, color, religion, national origin, disability, age, protected veteran status or any other non-merit factor, except where religion or sex are bona fide occupational qualifications for employment and are required by business necessity, and where disability does not create an unreasonable barrier to satisfactory job performance with, or without, accommodation.
If you feel you have been discriminated against in employment, please contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Office so they can provide counseling and explain the procedures to file a complaint.
